Okay, my apologies for another weather-related photograph, but the truth is that the weather is what we’re talking about in Central Scotland just now. Let me give you an example – the big online stores have stopped accepting orders for delivery to Scotland, because they don’t believe that they can deliver the goods in time for Christmas (see here for some examples).

Anyway, the picture above is once again of the roof of my office building. The icicles themselves are pretty unexciting, but I have never seen the effect of clear ice leading towards the icicle itself.
