The San Diego Mormon Temple stands beside Interstate 5 in La Jolla, a suburb of San Diego.

The building, which apparently is finished in "Marble Chips in Plaster" (http://www.ldschurchtemples.com/sandiego/) is a beautiful sight. It has many of the shapes and complexities associated with a Gothic Victorian church, yet everything has been simplified, to leave the suggestion of complexity but in fact great simplicity. Truly remarkable.

Sadly, in my efforts to get the extraordinarily bright moon positioned between the spires, I totally failed to notice the stray branch that sneaked into the frame.
