Historic Scotland organised a jousting tournament at Linlithgow Palace, home of Mary Queen of Scots.

We went along to watch and of course I took the camera too. I have to say that the results were not what I was hoping for – mostly my own fault. Why on earth would I have shot this at f/8 with an L series lens? Much better to have shot wide open, and blur the background.

However, the event was great fun to watch!
