I nipped down to Tesco yesterday to buy a couple of bits and pieces. On the way there, the rain came on. "No problem," I thought. "I’ll wait in the car until the rain goes off. Rain like this never lasts"

Wrong! This lasted for about an hour and a half – I gave up long before that and just ran to the shop – getting soaked on the way!
