Today was the Great Scottish Run – which is in fact two runs, a 10k and a half marathon.
I took part in the half marathon, my first run at such a long distance (13.1 miles or so). To my delight and frustration I finished it in 2:00:09.
Of course, I shouldn’t have stopped en route to take a photograph of the view from the Kingston Bridge, a major motorway (freeway) bridge that goes through the centre of Glasgow. But itsd not somewhere you ever get to cross on foot, so I just couldn’t resist.
If I had resisted, maybe I would have come in under two hours!
