It would be very easy to accuse this picture of being much too cluttered… but in fact that clutter is what I liked about the scene. Or to be more precise, the way that we, at ground level, have to deal with the clutter, the fences, the roadsigns, the traffic.

Then, standing proudly above that, the pillars of the bridge show an elegant simplicity, and higher still, the emptiness of the sky…
