Wind turbines for electricity generation. Like them or loathe them, they’re everywhere.

I’m a bit ambivalent about them. In small quantities they are fine, when they cover an entire range of hills they are rather less so.

But I think what we don’t get as we drive past them is a sense of the sheer scale of the things. The is the head of one of these beasts being assembled; the chap in the hi vis vest is tiny compared to the turbine blades!

No doubt it will soon be all put together and contributing to our energy supply…
