2016-07-02 (Day 184) Beat Your Ploughshares Into Wind Turbines

The area around where I live has countless paths and rights of way, which I have only just started to explore.

Today I walked along the Blackbraes Path, from near Maddiston to California. This is a very well maintained path – possibly a disused railway line – that gradually slopes uphill as you head towards California.

California itself is named after the US state, as the influx of miners in the early 20th century was reminiscent of the great Californian gold rushes
