The Almond Valley Railway Viaduct is a magnificent piece of construction. 2.4km long, with 36 arches in this eastern section, then six in a separate western section, it is the longest structure on any railway in Scotland.
I do want to go back with a decent camera; this wsaa shot using the iPhone and it shows the camera’s limitations.
The sun was shining brightly on the cornfield, but the sky was threatening heavy rain. I didn’t hang around for long after taking the photograph!
