2011-01-15 Drookit

The Scots have lots of words for "wet". Not surprising, really.

The appropriate word for this state of wetness is "drookit". It means really, wet – soaked through.

While Cameron was playing football this morning, I went for a run. Anyone with any sense would have realised that heavy rain and wind did not make for a great combination. But hey, I went anyway. And in truth, running in the rain has become a lot more pleasurable since laser eye surgery meant that I don’t need to wear glasses any more.

Net result was a pretty short and rather slow run, and one very wet Alan. But it was still good fun.

And apologies for the camera phone photo – but I had left my G10 at home
