When I were a lad, Slinkys were real toys.

They were made of thin, whippy steel and would give you a cracker of a paper cut if you so much as looked at them in the wrong way. And if you dared actually touch them, you would be well advised to count your fingers afterwards, just in case you hed left one in the spring. Well, all that blood might corrode the metal…

These days, they’re silly little plastic things that you’re need to work really hard to damage yourself on. But they do have some decent colours!
