2011-01-12 Forth And Clyde Canal Road Bridge

Just north of Falkirk, the A9 crosses The Forth and Clyde Canal at this illuminated road bridge. Below the bridge, the towpath follows the route of the frozen canal, with the canal itself reflecting the blue lights of the bridge itself.

In time, this is to become part of Falkirk’s ambitious "Helix" park-land; for now it is largely unused ex-industrial land mostly used by joggers and dog-walkers.

Leaving aside issues of light pollution, it is rather pretty!
