On the first proper morning of our holiday we went to SkiSet to collect the skis and accessories that we had rented. That perhaps took a little longer than it might have, but soon enough we were equipped and ready to start skiing.
We started off with a couple of runs down the nursery slope, then went out onto the slopes proper for a little while.
After lunch, we had a lesson booked with a gentleman called Lynne Stainbrook. He did a great job of assessing our skiing skills. Then he went on to teach Marie and me how much the design of skis has influenced skiing technique over the past fifteen years or so since we last skied, and taught us how to ski smoothly and gracefully with minimal effort.
And then it was pretty much time to go to the hotel for our evening meal, which was delicious!
