2011-11-07 (Day 437) Don Burnett Bridge

This bridge in Cupertino crosses highway 280, and was named after a bicycling former mayor of Cupertino.

The bridge – which is only for pedestrians and cyclists – is strikingly white against the deep blue sky.

It seemed that there were many more cyclists in the Cupertino area than we think that there might be in the USA, and this bridge lets them cross a very busy multi-lane road.
