Some time ago I bought a set of really cheap magnifying filters for my camera’s kit lens. I thought I’d haul them out and give them a try again this evening.

This is taken with three of the lenses stacked – +2, +4 and +10. And it’s not cropped at all – this is the full picture that was taken! The coin was less than an inch from the front of the lens.

It really is amazing how much detail goes into a coin…
