This little island has appeared just a touch west of the northernmost support pillar for the existing Forth Road Bridge, and is apparently going to be one of the supports for the new bridge. Quite a change from the building of the Forth Rail Bridge, where the supports were built by guys being sent down in large, open-bottomed tin cans to buidl the foundations!
But it must still be a strange job. The workers must come out here by boat, then spend all day on this tiny little island.
At least it’s unlikely that anyone is going to steal his digger!
