It was this rather interesting square chimney that caught my attention today. I had no idea that it was beside a scrap yard, and when I got near it I realised that I was not going to be able to get much closer.
Then I looked a little further, seeing the oil refinery and beyond that, the wind turbines on the Fife hills. It struck me as perhaps a little metaphorical… the rusting remains of old equipment in the foreground. A little further away, the equipment required fossil fuels. And in the distance, the wind turbines that will play a part in the next wave of power generation for our society.
