Driving in to work today, I suddenly noticed that the light was a wonderful warm colour. Sunrise was around 0810 this morning, and the first hour or so after the sunrise (and the last hour before sunset) is often called "The Golden Hour" by photographers because the light is such a gorgeous colour.
I was nearing the roundabout at the south end of the Forth Bridge at the time, so I turned into South Queensferry and drove to the old town.
Parking the car I quickly snapped a couple of pictures, hoping that the light was still good.
This was my favourite of the pictures I took, with the naval ship steaming out from under the bridge, and bathed in the warm morning light.
Note – these are the colours straight out of the camera. For once I haven’t messed around with them in post processing!
