2011-12-04 (Day 464) Panto Rehearsal

The bulk of today was taken up with the dress rehearsal for The Dunblane Centre’s pantomime, Babes In The Wood.

Panto is a very strange, very British form of theatre. The "older lady" part is played by a man, the leading man is played by a girl, and the audience instinctively knows when it is meant to involve itself in the plot.

So here we see a scene where Friar Tuck (that’s me) is being chastised by Nurse Molly Coddle for having attempted to rob her while she was out in the forest.

Thanks to Martin Quinn for taking the photo!
