I had hoped to get to the beach today, but had to do some work. That’s a bit disappointing!

However, I had booked a ticket to the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, where I got to see them playing the Haydn Cello Concerto and Mahler Symphony 5.

They put on an excellent concert, as well as a first-rate talk before the concert started.

The concert hall is beautiful too…
