Today, I start a "First Aid in the Workplace" course. This is the building in which the course is being held.

The building used to be Falkirk Fire Station. When the fire engines moved to a new home just around the corner, the Red Cross moved into their old building.

I guess it would be hard to call it the most attractive building on earth, but there is clearly a lot of good work done behidn these doors.

I have now lived in the Falkirk area long enough that I can happily talk about "the old fire station" and know where it is – does that let me qualify as a local?
