Stansted Airport has recently changed the way you get into the airport. Previously, you could be dropped off right at the terminal, but then someone worked out that there was a way to exploit customers even further.

So, the person dropping you at the airport has to pay a fee, and you are let out further from the departure area than before. You enter the terminal through a rather unpleasant-looking cave like this one.
