I went for a lunchtime walk over the Avon viaduct at Muiravonside. I’ve been here before several times before, but this time I thought I would try something a little different – I brought my monopod too, and used it to hold the camera out over the side of the bridge, and used the self-timer to try to get some photos of the bridge from a different viewpoint than normal.

I reckon it mostly worked – though I kick myself that I wasn’t quite at the keystone of the bridge.

It definitely sounds like a fun project, however – trying to work out how I can put the camera into places people normally don’t get to go!
