I had occasion to visit Alloa this evening, and on the way I stopped at the Clackmannanshire Bridge to grab a picture. I’ve photographed this rather elegant bridge before, but tonight as I saw the sun setting I knew there would be good light – if only I could get to the bridge in time…Luckily I did – just. I got this and about two other pictures before the sun slipped behind a cloud, just above the horizon. You can see the shadow halfway across the bridge. A minute later and I would have missed the shot, and would have had to think of something else!
