Today was my daughter’s dance school’s annual show.
This was held in the macrobert Arts Centre, in Stirling University, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So did she, but it’s not the kind of event where you can simply whip out a camera and start snapping.
So, instead I have a photo from the grounds of the University, of a swan enjoying the lily pond.
There is probably a metaphor here about the swan having to work hard to swim yet it looks elegant. Dancers have to work hard to make their dancing look so easy and elegant; dance teachers have to work hard to make the show run so well!
No, I’m don’t think I’ll use that metaphor; it’s way too pretentious!
Anyway, congratulations to everyone at the Central Scotland Ballet School for a great show!
