I took my phone into the EE shop in Falkirk today. I was very surprised when the flaw – which I took to be a hardware issue – was solved by flashing a new firmware image.

On the way back to the car I shot this, another War Memorial. This is a Boer War one, designed by John Campbell of the Falkirk Science and Arts school, unveiled in 1906 by Field Marshal Earl Roberts.
