This is the River Carron at Carmuirs, Falkirk. The plaque comes from the now-replaced bridge at this pont on the river, which had been designed and supplied my Mr Louis Harper, CE, of Aberdeen. Given that the Carron was famous as a steel river, I wonder why we had to go to Aberdeen for a bridge?
