I went out today to take another “Rave Run” photo, and I did indeed manage one. Bu tthen as I walked back to the car I saw this scene and decided that I preferred it.
This is at Muiravonside country park near Falkirk, the rive is the River Avon. The warm autumn sunlight just happened to catch the bend in the river nicely.
Oh well, maybe I’ll manage the Rave Run picture next week!
The Rave Run picture that I did maneg was this one:
This is my Rave Run photo today, at the Muiravonside Country Park near Falkirk.
The path runs along the side of the River Avon, and behind the river is the Avon Aqueduct. This bridge, which carries the Union Canal across the River Avon, is the longest and highest aqueduct in Scotland, (250m long, 26m high).
From a photographic point of view this is messed up, and that’s why it’s a b-side. The dynamic range to capture the shaded path and the brightly-lit aqeduct is huge, so next time I’ll take and HDR without me in the picture, then take one with me running and paste myself into the HDR.
Or… I’ll wait until the weather is lousy and there won’t be nearly the same dynamic range to cope with!
