The Dunmore Pineapple was built in 1761 by the fourth Earl of Dunmore. It is believed that this may reflect his recent return from the Americas, where the Pineapple was a symbol of welcome.
Today, it sits in an attractive and peaceful walled garden, where for the cost of a small voluntary donation you can sit and enjoy the birdsong and watch the river idly flow past.
A very pretty place.
