I got a new phone today – my old one had got to the point where it wasn’t holding charge for any more than a few hours at a time; definitely not enough to last a day at work. So reluctantly I bought myself an iPhone 11 Pro.

One of its funky new features is “night mode”. I think that it takes a large number of short images, aligns them, averages them and then does something funky to rebalance light and dark areas. The results are interesting – this is untouched except for resizing and some metadata added – and I think will deserve more attention!
