We went for a walk from Bo’ness to Blackness today, along the waterfront. It was gorgeous!
In areas of shadow we were crunching through ice, but when we got into the sunlight it was surprisingly warm. The river was a delicious shade of blue, and it was unbelievably clear – we could see all the way from Stuc-a-Chroin in the west to the Forth Bridges in the east.
You can see the bridges here. Closest is the Queensferry Crossing, beyond that the Forth Road Bridge and further still the original, the Forth Bridge.
Closer than all the bridges is Blackness Castle and the beautiful village of Blackness.
A lovely walk!
