I went out for a lunchtime walk to see whether I could find a photograph, and as I passed the park I realised that something was indeed happening. It looks as if Laurie Park (also known as Quarry Park) is being given some new things to play on!

In the distance, the Ochils are showing up really well today. It’s hard to be absolutely certain of the angles, but I believe that the leftmost peak is Ben Cleuch, the highest of the Ochil hills. Going rightwards (eastwards) we can barely pick out The Law, so the next obvious peak is Andrew Gannell hill. And no, I still haven’t worked out why he has a hill named after him.

Right again is Kingseat. But that leaves me confused about what is behind the tree – is that Bank Hill? Or maybe it’s Whitewisp Hill and it’s just the foreshortening of the telephoto lens that’s confusing me?

Hmmm…
