This is the road closure that is causing so much trouble to people driving between the M8 and M9. It has closed one of the main routes between these two motorways, and the detour is about an extra half hour on the journey.

It will be worth it when the road works are complete, though – the council is putting traffic lights up at a particularly horrible junction that is frequently closed by accidents, and will hopefully make this a much more relaxed and safer journey for travellers!
