Today my car clocked up 100,000 miles. I bought it new in August 2017 and now, just under seven years later, it hit 100,000 miles. Let’s imagine that my average speed was 50mph – and I’m sure it was much less than that. But at 50mph average, that would mean I had been driving the car for 2,000 hours. 2,000 hours is 83 days straight.

Please excuse the dirty state of the display, it doesn’t look that way when I’m driving!

The other thing that I don’t get is that as far as I am concerned it is still very much the “new car” – how can it possibly be seven years old?

Oh well, here’s to the next 100,000!
