There is currently work underway in Pittenweem to improve the sewage works. Part of it involves this barge going out into the river and doing … well, … what? The signs nearby talk about divers at work, and then there is the digger – but what about the verticals? Are they to steady it when it is out in the water, or are they able to act as pile drivers, or are they something else altogether?
