From the High Street, Callander Square looks a bit abandoned and as if the pavements around it could do with a good dose of weedkiller. But from the back…

There is hardly anything left except for the façade! It’s all gone, and the escalators we used to get up to the gym are exposed to the world! And it looks as if the buildings beside it are abandoned too – possibly for demolition?

In the end, it’s going to be for the better. The council will have a space for offices, it will be on the High Street so people working there will be more likely to support some local shops and – thank goodness – we will have a proper theatre in Falkirk again! But I still haven’t found any proper plans to show what the proposed building is going to look like, what the theatre will be like and so forth.

That wouldn’t be too much to ask for, would it?
