When as a lad I lived in Garrowhill, I lived across the road from the Henry Boot office and a building that contained a grocery shop. The shop was run by the family of a school friend, and managed to thrive even though Asda opened up in a nearby town.
Anyway, I was back in that area today and it turns out that the property is now owned by Beechwood Veterinary Centre, a local veterinary practice. And on the gable end of the building is this incredible mural.
The mural was painted by a painter “Rogue One”, and shows a dog and a cat inside a cardboard box. The level of detail is just amazing – I love it!
