On the day that the USA goes to the polls, the UK celebrates the defeat of a plot to destroy our Parliament. The Council organised a great official firework display today, but I wasn’t wanting to go to the town centre and instead thought I would go to the top of a nearby hill to see what it was like from there.

The answer was simple – if you want to see the firework display, go to where the firework display is. Watching it from about a mile away really doesn’t give much of an atmosphere!

Having said that, lots of people were there, and we did get a view of fireworks across a significant chunk of the Forth Valley!

But in the end I left soon after taking this shot – and got out before people generally started trying to leave en masse. By the looks of the way that cars were parked, getting out later was going to be a real hassle!
