Today I got up while it was dark and drove to the office in the dark. I didn’t go out at lunchtime as I was doing an exercise class, and then by the time I went home it was dark again. So I had to find a photo of the day that would look good in the dark!
I have photographed this before, the Bo’ness mining memorial. But I don’t think I have photographed it at night-time before. The memorial with the library building in the background, the contrasting colours of the red wheel, green grass and blue night-time skies combined with the LED streetlamps give the shot an odd, overly saturated colour scheme that catches the eye.
And there’s still another direction I can use that gives good pictures when I run out of other ideas!
