The details of the carving above the door are exquisite – look at the open depth behind the ship’s sails – and the motto translates as “many will pass through and knowledge shall be increased”. Believed to relate to Daniel 12:4, it does seem appropriate to a school. And yet Daniel 12 is talking about the end of days – which is not what school is meant to be!
