These are the towers of the Black Hill transmitting station in Central Scotland.

Whether these ones are the ones that transmit TV, or the towers slightly east of me are the ones that do so, the power used in the TV transmissions is incredible. According to Wikipedia there are six TV multiplexes at 100kW each, plus about 1.5MW of FM radio… You can see why the government is starting to try to move us towards internet-delivered TV and radio!
