I did get a thought of an Eagles album when I saw this straight road, and the vibrant yellow of the oilseed rape gave a great force to the picture.

Unfortunately, I think that by getting down low to give prominence to the road, I lost some of the power of the yellow flowes… I’m not sure.

As a side note, this was taken with the old Canon 350D and Sigma 18-200mm lens. I used to be really uncomfortable with this lens, but it has been doing me sterling service over the past few days. Maybe it means that I am at last learnig to look more at the picture and spend less time pixel peeping? That would be good!
