I was driving south over the Forth Road Bridge, on the way hoe from work, when I saw how the wonderful evening light was illuminating the railway bridge to my left. As I travelled south, I wondered whether I would be able to find somewhere to stop in time to catch the light.

I pulled in to the Forth Road Bridge car park, and then ran hell-for-leather to get to the viewing area before the sun slipped below the horizon. The only camera I had with me was the little Sony point and shoot, and I only just made it in time to get this wonderful light. A couple of minutes later, the bridge looked dark and cold as it stood in shadow, ready for another cold evening
