When you can get outside in glorious sunny conditions, Project365 is easy. There is always something that looks good when you look at it through a viewfinder. It’s days like today when things get hard, when you – for whatever reason – don’t manage to get out during daylight hours and you find yourself in the hours of darkness with no photo taken.

That’s when you start taking pictures of the stuff you have lying around the house.

When I started looking for something, the coffee beans jumped out as being an obvious candidate. It would be even better if I could digitise the smell of the beans and save them along with the photograph, but that’s not the way it works. You need to look at the beans and imagine the smell…

I do enjoy a good cup of coffee. I can imagine that smell just by looking at the picture. And if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go and put the kettle on…
