
As mentioned on 2nd January, I have signed up for a triathlon. Now, the cycling doesn’t worry me, and nor does running 2.5km (assuming my ankle is in decent shape) but swimming 400m… that’s a big concern.
Time to get training.
So today at lunchtime I went to Bo’ness and tried some swimming. In the twenty minutes or so I was there, I managed eight lengths (with stops). The longest non-stop swim was two lengths of a 25m pool.
It’s a start, a base line. Let’s hope it improves!
As for the picture, this is the traditional way of going swimming, with swimming trunks wrapped in a towel. Isn’t that what everyone does?
