I had to jump start my wife’s car today. The battery was flat as a pancake.
I’ve taken the car to Kwik-Fit, the folk there put the battery on a meter and told me it was fine – it just didn’t like the cold that it has suffered over the past few days.
Hmmm… I am not sure whether to say “to heck with it, I’ll just replace the battery”. Because I don’t believe that the battery is good. But if I buy a new battery and it suffers the same problems, I’ll have wasted my money. On the other hand, I don’t want to have to jump start the car again.
I think I’ll wait and see if it happens again – and if it does, I’ll get a new one regardless of what the meter says.
Re-reading the above, I’m wondering whether “try it and see if it happens again” show that I’m a software developer!
