I was helping out with a flitting today – my main responsibility was to drive the van. And this was the van that we had rented to do the job.

For one who is not used to driving such things, this 3.5 tonne Luton was a monster! To be fair to it, it drove really easily and was light as a feather. The gear stick coming out of the dashboard took a bit of getting used to, as did the handbrake being on my right hand side.

It didn’t help that we were using it during Storm Isha, which saw amber warnings for wind across pretty much the whole country. Driving this vehicle in this weather was a much more active task than driving a car in calm weather, but we got there in the end and it was definitely able to cart a lot of stuff around!

So a mostly successful, if somewhat busy, Sunday.
