One thing that I will always associate with the house where I live now is the pigeons. They have a very distinctive call – ca COOOO coooo coo coo – which they repeat in perfect 4:4 time, the “ca” part as an upbeat, and that sound rings in my ears throughout spring and summer.

While the pigeons are dominant they do seem to be facing some pressure from crows – these nasty big birds seem to be the vandals of the bird world, pecking away at window seals, at cars and generally causing trouble.

So in the battle between pigeons and crows, count me in on Team P!
