Out for a lunchtime walk with Tess today I looked through a gap in the trees and saw this deer looking at me. I’ve seen deer in that field before, but never at the corner where people walk, and never quite so willing to stand for a while and watch me, rather than running away.

It wasn’t THAT close, there is a bit of digital zoom going on here (the photo was taken with my phone). I have a little pocket camera with a decent zoom lens on it – maybe I should take that with me on my next lunchtime walk!
