It is believed that there has been a church here since at least 800AD, and possibly earlier – there are claims of a connection with St Modan, from the 500s. Indeed, the town of Falkirk probably takes its name from an early building, which had a speckled appearance – “Speckled Church” would have been “Faw Kirk” in old Scots.
Tonight I was in this building to take headshots for Falkirk Bohemians, who are performing 9 to 5 in Grangemouth Town Hall 22-26 October. From what I saw, and the people I know who are in the club, it is going to be a great show! Tickets from https://www.falkirkleisureandculture.org/whats-on/9-to-5-falkirk-bohemians/
